Lynn Strong

Lynn Strong earned a B.S. and M.Ed. in Art Education from the University of Central Florida. After graduating, she spent 9 years teaching Art in public schools, working with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. She loves helping students develop studio Art skills, explore their creativity, and express themselves through Art!

After this, she stepped into a new role as a stay-at-home mom to her two boys, which quickly grew into a passion for homeschooling. She began teaching Art classes for various homeschool groups, which has been a rewarding way to share her passion for studio Art practice and artist study.

In 2020, Lynn’s family made the move from Florida to Los Angeles and has been happily building their lives here ever since. The change brought new inspiration and opportunities, and she continues to share her love of Art with kids in the community.

When Lynn is not teaching Art or homeschooling, she loves painting, reading, hiking, camping, and being outdoors!

The Art Class for Younger Artists: Drawing & Painting

Drawing and Painting class for ages 6-9  is designed to build both skills and confidence while keeping creativity at the center of every lesson. Students will practice foundational drawing techniques such as line, shape, value, perspective, and color theory, giving them the tools they need to grow as young artists.

Throughout the class, we’ll explore a variety of materials and styles, encouraging students to try new things and discover what they enjoy most. From sketching to watercolor, each lesson blends structured learning with fun, hands-on creativity.

Students will also be introduced to both famous artists from history and contemporary artists, learning how different styles and movements have shaped the art world. Through artist studies, they’ll gain inspiration and insight while creating their own unique pieces.

This class is a supportive space where kids can experiment, practice, and build confidence in their artistic abilities. Whether your child already loves art or is just beginning, they’ll be encouraged to express themselves, take creative risks, and enjoy the process of making Art!
